When we were talking to Rick Easton – the talented baker behind Bread and Salt – about this event, we started talking about the tiny artisanal pizza shops in Italy. You’d think that they all serve wine, but as Rick noted, the ones that serve wine are for the tourists; the real deal were the ones that sold beer. Like Hall and Oates, pizza and beer were just meant to go together.
On Sunday, July 7th at 5pm, we’ll be co-hosting an event with the very self-explanatory title of Pizza & Beer. We’ll be posting up at the Braddock brick oven located by UnSmoke Systems (1137 Braddock Ave.) and selling a very basic menu of the aforementioned items. Super casual. Bring your friends.
